Wangsel Institute for the Deaf proudly began observing Deaf Week with a series of meaningful activities aimed at promoting inclusion, awareness, safety and unity.
Deaf Week Celebration
The week-long celebration provides an opportunity to recognize the achievements, dreams and aspirations of Deaf individuals and to promote greater understanding, respect and inclusion in society.
Mock Drill
A mock drill was conducted to strengthen emergency preparedness among students and staff. The activity helped participants understand appropriate safety procedures, teamwork and the importance of staying calm during emergencies.
International Day of Peace
We also observed International Day of Peace under the theme:
“Invest in Peace for Everyone, Everywhere, Every Day.”
The celebration emphasized the importance of kindness, understanding, respect and peaceful coexistence. Through these activities, we continue to nurture a safe, inclusive and peaceful learning environment where everyone is valued and every dream matters.
